For the hoops, I used one unit to decorate each of them. To start, the unit was going to be attached underneath like a charm. However, after playing around with the composition I decided the second photograph looked a bit different! the unit faces dome outwards, the same as the drop earrings.
I soldered the unit onto a 3 mm round wire hoop, and created a catch mechanism we learnt how to make in one of our lessons before Christmas.
Overall, I am happy with this outcome, and think it links nicely to the other earrings in the collection. The thing I found most difficult about making these was sawing the gap at one end of the hoop; this is because I kept scratching the sides and had to clean this up afterwards.
